Is This Your First Trade Show?

Blog

Have you recently started your own business? Perhaps you are selling a specific brand of kitchen equipment or maybe you have opened a landscaping service. No matter what your business is, if you have decided to expand your clientele by having a trade show booth, here are some ideas that might help you.

A Unique Setting - Think of ways that you can make your booth stand out from the other ones at the trade show. For example, if you are selling kitchen equipment, say cutlery, create a mini kitchen, perhaps with something like a brick red wooden table and attractive ladder-back chairs as the focal point of the setting. On the table, have an assortment of foods that need to be cut or chopped and have the cutlery sitting next to those foods. If you are selling personal grooming products, say cosmetics, set up a makeup table with an elegant mirror and have different models, perhaps friends or family members taking turns applying the makeup.

No matter what your product is, have an individual present to demonstrate how the product you are selling works. If you have recently opened a gift shop, have a display like the one at your store so that passersby can see the items you are selling. Additionally, order banners and posters with your business name and logo as the central design. Place them in strategic places that will enhance the setting of your booth.

Take Home Reminders - Of course, you want those who attended the trade show to remember what your business represented. For example, if you have recently opened a gift shop, consider giving out magnets with the name and logo of your store on them. If you are selling cosmetics, give out samples of one of your products, say tiny bottles of face cream, along with your business card. No matter what your business is, balloons are another good idea to send home with those who come by your trade show exhibit. Either children will want a balloon right on the spot or parents will want to take a balloon home to their kids. Of course, order balloons that have your business information on them. Think of having a sign-in book where individuals can leave their names and contact information so that you can follow up on their interest once the trade show is over.

Perfecting Your Place

One day, after inviting a new friend to my house, I could tell that my place needed a few updates. She commented on the older decor, and I knew that it was time to make a few changes. Instead of ignoring the outdated curtains and interesting knick-knacks, I zeroed in on one room at a time, and started to transform the space with new rugs, interesting pictures, and new accessories. You wouldn't believe how much my place transformed before my eyes. Within a few weeks, my apartment started to look brand new, modern, and edgy. This blog is all about making your space into something beautiful.
